Ilona J. Passino, a freelance artist specializing in Alabaster Stone Sculpture and mosaics of stone, glass and tile, designed “Whirl Around Irondequoit.”  This colorful lighthouse features a late-afternoon sunset; view of skyline over Lake Ontario; night sky filled with lightning bugs and a full moon; scenes of sailboats and children on the beach plus a delightful rendition of the 1911 Sea Breeze Park carousel.  Even better, rides on this merry-go-round only cost 5¢!
