DESCRIPTION A MAINE POSTCARD
WEST QUODDY HEAD LIGHT, standin' on the easternmost point o' land in the U.S. (Canada's East Quoddy Head's right across the Narrows). President Thomas Jefferson ordered the lighthouse to be constructed in the early 1800's. It was later reconstructed in 1858. The red 'n' white stripes are for bettah day time visibility. Cliffs with fo'ty foot drops, crashin' waves, natechah trails, beauty and this Down East Maine accent abound.
