PORTLAND HEAD (MAINE) LIGHTHOUSE PEG HANGER

Portland Head Lighthouse, built in 1790 and first lighted January 10, 1791, is one of the most photographed lighthouses in America. It still stands as one of four colonial lighthouses that have never been rebuilt. Portland Head Lighthouse was automated in 1989 and is still used as a U.S. Coast Guard aid to navigation.
