Marblehead Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in continuous operation on the Great Lakes, was built in 1822. Automated in 1958, Marblehead Lighthouse has been featured on a U.S. Postage Stamp as well as Ohio license plates. It still serves as a U.S. Coast Guard aid to navigation.
